Band-Aid Applique

Ideas on how to use these appliques...
*These would be great to apply to any project.
*You can add them to kitchen towels,
*turn them into a keychain or fridge magnet.
*You can also make several and make a garland.
*Attach a ribbon to make them into bookmarks.

SIZE/MEASUREMENTS
approx. size: 0.75"H x 1.5"W
...but can vary based on yarn and hook size

MATERIALS
*Crochet hook size: 2.0mm
*Lace weight yarn: color of choice
*Tapestry Needle
*Paperclip (optional)
*Hot Glue

PATTERN NOTES
  Numbers in ( ) at the end of each round/row indicate the total number of stitches.
  Always use stitch markers to mark your rounds.
  You ALWAYS do the first stitch where you sl st from the previous round.
  The ch2, at the beginning don’t count as a stitch.

SPECIAL STITCHES
 Other side of the foundation chains - this VIDEO explains how to do this technique.


BAND-AID with beige
  Rnd 1: ch12, hdc in 3rd ch from hook, hdc in next 8 chs, 3hdc in last ch, other side of the foundation chains hdc in next 8 chs, 2hdc in last ch, sl st into 1st st (22)
  Rnd 2: ch1, sc in next 10 sts, 2sc in next st, sc in next 10 sts, 2sc in last st, in last st change to brown, sl st into 1st st (24)
  Rnd 3: working in the back loops ch1, sl st in each st around (24)
F/O, secure and weave in the ends.

HEART with red
  Rnd 1: ch2, 2dc, 3sc, 1dc, 3sc, 2dc in magic ring
Pull tightly to close. F/O, secure and weave in the ends.


ASSEMBLE
     Sew the heart in the middle of the band-aid. On each side of the heart, embroider a line or dotted lines.
     Glue a paperclip on the back.

ch/s:chain/s || sc: single crochet || hdc: half double crochet || dc: double crochet || sl st: slip stitch
st/s: stitch/es || rnd: round || f/o: finish off
